In a service unique among adult amateur baseball
tournaments, the Roy Hobbs World Series will offer a full clubhouse and
training service option for players during the Veterans, Masters and Legends /
Classics / Seniors weeks. However, space is limited to 60 players per week.

In an effort to make those regulations more consistent throughout the divisions, teams in all divisions will be allowed to carry 3 under-age players.
With the exception of the Open Division (28+), under-age players will not be able to pitch at the Roy Hobbs World Series or Cactus Classic. Pitching restrictions in the Open Division are unchanged - there are no restrictions during the first 4 games, after which under-age players must be competing in the AAAA Division in order to pitch.
The age drop is 3 years in the Open, Veterans and Masters Divisions; it is 2 years in the Legends, Classics and Seniors. The reason is that the difference between the age cutoffs are smaller in the older divisions, i.e., 5 years as opposed to 10 years.
In all divisions, under-age players must reach the minimum age (25, 35, 45, 53, 58 and 63) no later than November 1.
Here is a look at the divisions, with specifics:
Roy Hobbs World Series fees for 2008 are $4,450
for non-members and $3,450 for Roy Hobbs members, before applying the discount
structure below. These fees apply to all divisions except Family Ties, which
will be set separately, and the Women's Division, where fees will
established on a scale proportionate to the games and time played.
World Series Fee structure
Key to the fee schedule is the use of cashiers (bank) checks or money orders, as
the discount structure remains the same.

Roster: World Series
fees cover 20 players. Teams may roster as many as 25 players. Fees for the additional
players are $210 each, payable at manager check-in at the World Series.
2008 Dues, Insurance
Roy Hobbs' annual dues structure for
2008 is as follows:
2008 Roy Hobbs membership: Roy
Hobbs requires membership of its teams and players for the Roy Hobbs World Series,
or for the team to pay the non-member fee of $4450.
Individual team: $280
per team, up to 20 players; added players are $25 each. Fee after September 1
is $330.
Individual player: $25 per
player. All players signing up for the player pool pay the $25 RH membership.
Insurance: Roy Hobbs will offer the $2 million liability insurance with a $5000 secondary medical rider. The annual policy runs January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008 upon the next renewal. The Roy Hobbs Baseball tournament-only policy for Hobbs-sanctioned/operated events is $110. Additional insured certificates are $50.
All Divisions are wood bat, unless noted.
